For those interested, here is a 21st century version of a salon recital that I am involved in next Saturday night in Dorchester with the Greater Boston House Concert Series. A portion of the ticket sales will be given to organizations helping families in the wake of Hurricane Sandy. I believe there is a discount for students.

This program is the journey of an artist (who I play) to find her inspiration through poetry when she feels lost. Below is an excerpt from the program notes:
Inspiration can take us down paths that are usually unexpected, sometimes risky, and hopefully illuminating. The search for inspiration can be both delightfully limitless and painfully frustrating. Some days it can feel like searching for a needle in a haystack. But suddenly, something stirs you to the core of your being and what results from that experience is a piece of creativity that fills an important space in your life and your surrounding world. As creativity fueled by inspiration builds upon itself through poets, composers, performers, audience members, and the rest of the world, we find ourselves in a society that is filled with hope, possibility, and invention.
